Date Night at the Ponds, Hilo

Date night for me often means a splurge of some local steak.  Tonight was prime rib for me (right) and Terin had this scrumptious Kulana Beef medallions wrapped in bacon with a coffee glaze.  ONO!!!  We highly recommend the Ponds in Hilo.

First is Amira's first cheesecake, with Honomu Lemon Butter.
Next are some of my garden's contribution to the Panang Curry.
Bottom is the cheesecake from Rose, topped with her very own lilikoi butter. YUM!

4/365 Hali'i Kai Condo Eats

Above is some local Ruby Red grapefruit and some jabong, and to the right is the scrumptious egg scramble from Laurel.  I'm not sure why her elbow is in the tortillas or why I'm wearing a lampshade in this photo - but the food was sure great!

2/52 My week in food & the healing power of a full belly

Irish Stout Porter - so ono!

Memories of Italia flooding back...

Half Kohala w/ mac nuts & sausage!
My cajun prawns, steamed Swiss Chard, & fresh Hawaiian Avo
This meal nearly had Amira & Terin in tears from the heat!

My Thai Massuman Chicken curry w/ yams

It was a rough week for humanity.  Assassination shootings, flooding, mudslides, revolutions, blizzards, and other such distractions.  But this blog is about Food & Farm.  So here's my week of food.  My advice?  Eat something good, love someone good, & let the healing power of a full belly enrich your day.
